I found my first ‘proper’ watch the other day, my grandparents bought it for me in Switzerland – so clearly, it is the most proper of proper watches. It had a tatty burgundy leather-look plastic strap which was a bit of a disaster, so after a little poking around the intertubes, I bought a lovely plain 12mm Birkenstock with double loops and stainless steel bits and bobs. Sensibles. See how sensibles. See. Do you? See?

So, the various lovely things that can be done with the CSS3 property text-shadow, whilst still lost on Internet Explorer users, are definitely still worth playing with.

David Desandro’s 3D Text Tower effect, as popularised by Chris Coyier is pretty darn cute.

It’s not just for 3D effects though..

I had been fancying lemon meringue pie for some time, like this..

lemon (yum!) meringue (yum!) pie (urrr.. pastry..) *repeat*

Working with the following constants, what has been deemed ‘Best Lemon Meringue Pie Ever’ and also ‘How Pie SHOULD Be’ was created.

Lemony goop is delicious
Meringue is delicious
The crispy outside of Meringue is the best bit
Pastry is a bit bum
Shortbread however, is yum!
..ginger and lemons is nice yes

No no no no no. Firstly – no. Secondly – a *range* of ice lollies? A GODDAMNED RANGE? ‘Ever dreamt of licking Daniel Craig’s torso? Now you can..’  bite his little frozen replica’s head off instead.  That’s entirely the same. Also, why is it red? Why is it pretty much blood coloured, in fact? WHY? It’s like april fool’s and hallowe’en met in a frozen confection factory. And did unmentionable things.
